Bird Carving Class

April 7 – 9, 2019
Location:
Stage Nature Center
6685 Coolidge Hwy
Troy, Michigan 48098

Students will create a full detailed bird carving step by step over the three-day class period. All students will start with a wood cut-out. Josh will perform a series of demonstrations that will teach the student every aspect of carving and painting a realistic bird. Josh instructs with power tools but knives and other tools may be used if the student feels more comfortable. The class generally runs from 8 am – 5 pm. Those out of town students will find many local hotels or motels available depending on their budget.

Josh is offering two different cut-outs and casts this year. One for the beginner and intermediate carver and a more difficult pose to challenge the advance student. Josh will provide a tupelo cut-out, a cast for each student and other materials if needed at an additional cost (TBD).

Contact Bill Ebinger to register.  Class size is limited to 10 -14 students. Registration fee is $220.00 per person with a non-refundable deposit of $110.00 to hold your spot. The balance must be paid no later than February 28, 2019.  We expect this class will fill up quickly (two sold out fall classes in Wisconsin) so do not delay.
